When I try to play a MP3 with BMPx or Exaile, the program crash. I use ~media-libs/gst-plugins-base-0.10.15 with ~Gnome. If I emerge last stable media-libs/gst-plugins-base-0.10.14, there is no problem for playing MP3. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open BMPX 2. Look for a MP3 file 3. Play it ! Actual Results: BMPx crash Expected Results: BMPx should play my MP3 ^^ Sorry for my bad english :x
Reopen with: - emerge --info - backtrace output attached (http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml) Thanks.

Well we seriously need something better than 'oh it crashed'... What's exactly your trouble with getting some useful backtrace?
I know you need more information. I am trying to get backtrace...
Do you have media-libs/gst-plugins-ugly installed, and if so, which version? Are you mixing stable with ~arch?
(In reply to comment #5) > Do you have media-libs/gst-plugins-ugly installed, and if so, which version? > Are you mixing stable with ~arch? > Yes, I have media-libs/gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.6. I emerged media-libs/gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.6-r1 and it fix the bug And I mixing ~arch and stable. Thank you for the idea Samuli Suominen. Thank to Jakub Moc too :)
and I've made gst 0.10.15 block older -ugly versions than 0.10.6-r1 so nobody else will hit this anymore.. closing
