emerge avifile stops with

which version of divx4linux do you have?

I have updated avifile to the 0.7 series snapshot from April 19.  Please test
that and let me know if it compiles ok.

I have divx4linux-20020304 installed. 
 
The new avifile-0.7.3.20020419 build successfull.
