Description rob holland (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-09 09:01:30 UTC
The Configure.help file says:

Cryptographic API
CONFIG_CRYPTO
If you answer 'Y' or 'N' to this option, the cryptographic kernel API
framework will be enabled, and you'll be presented with additional
questions about cryptographic algorithms and kernel components
making use of the cryptographic API.

Thats obviously not what they meant to say, it should be "answer 'Y' or 'm'". If
you answered 'N' then the code won't be included at all (as it correctly says at
the bottom.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. less /usr/src/linux-2.4.20-gentoo-r4/Documentation/Configure.help

Expected Results:
The file should say "'Y' or 'm'"

Patch which corrects the typo
Comment 2 Jay Pfeifer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-09 10:02:51 UTC
yep, the docs from crypto do have this typo. it is in both the USAGI and patch-int patches. This typo is from upstream, not us. I'll notify them and put a note to update local.

Thanks,

Jay
