I was using Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 and no problems at all. After I upgraded to 2.0.0.9, whenever I click the "New Message", "Reply" or "Reply -All" buttons, the program crashes. Other features like the catalog or checking out messages work fine. I tried to downgrade to thunderbird 2.0.0.6 but looks like it's been removed from portage. Attached are the error message shown on the command line during a crash, and also my emerge --info data. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Simply click the new message button. 2. 3. Actual Results: A new window tries to open, and both it and the thunderbird windows freeze. Expected Results: The program should not crash.

Try with a clean profile, move ~/.thunderbird and run thunderbird
Tried that. Even with a brand new profile, the bug still happens.
Still the same?
Ops! My last entry here was 6 months ago. I got upset with the bug and in the end, uninstalled thunderbird. Since nobody else complained about this error in such a long time, perhaps it was somehow unique to my system (old system dependencies, perhaps?). I'm closing the bug report. In case this starts to happen to other people, then they can reopen the bug. (In reply to comment #4) > Still the same? >
