Now in portage; please test the perl/python/ruby stuff if possible (especially the perl). Thanks...

The emerge fails for me at the install stage:

Here are my USE flags:

I tried both with and without sudo, used emerge/ebuild, on both x86 and amd64, including all your USE flags, and I couldn't reproduce this (or any other install errors). Can you try syncing again, remove the old gdal (package it first if you want to keep it) and then try building the 1.5.0 version? Thanks in advance...

Although next time, feel free to open a new bug if you have a specific issue (rather than adding to a version bump bug).

Hi,
I had the same problem. This fix doesn't work for me. Do you want me to open a new bug or continue here?

Okay, it should be fixed now; since I can't test it, please test and report back your results (allow time for the tree to update). Thanks...

(In reply to comment #5)

I reemerged and tested. Worked fine now, thanks.
