Description Peter Gantner (a.k.a. nephros) 2003-05-07 13:10:07 UTC
ebuild for the kexec-tools package

you need this tool to use the kexec() system call present in some of the newer kernels, i.e. 2.5.
69-mm1

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

i could not determine which kernel trees have kexec(), and which don't.
So lease add to the DEPEND variable if you know.

changing status to LATER.
the kexec() stuff has been removed from current dev kernels.
its returning is undefined.
please close.

Oh my.
A few days later, there is an update of kexec() for 2.6.0-test7:
http://www.ussg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0310.1/0158.html

No mention about the userspace tools, though 1.8 seems to be the lates version
at this point (checked the URL in the ebuild).

Not sure how to go about this, developer decision needed. Probably NEEDMOREINFO
would be appropriate, as it is not sure wether this will get into mainline
kernels.
