Description Jan Oravec 2008-01-14 19:34:10 UTC
File /usr/share/xml/iso-codes/iso_639_3.xml is in ISO-8859-15 encoding instead of UTF-8 as indicated in XML header. Applications will probably load this file assuming wrong encoding or not load at all.

All other XML files are in UTF-8 encoding so I guess the file should be converted to UTF-8.

I have checked new version 1.8 of upstream and the problem wasn't found/fixed yet. I will notify upstream and point them to this bug.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for reporting this upstream. A link to an upstream bug would be helpful in tracking.

There is no upstream bug, as I have contacted maintainer directly as indicated in the header of iso_639_3.xml file.

I have got no response, but it seems the problem is fixed in last version (iso-codes-2.1).

I just commited 3.2 to the tree. Please reopen if this isn't fixed in 3.2.
