Description Chip Hogg 2008-01-14 18:59:19 UTC
It happens every time, both for me and anyone else using labplot. After running the program, attempting to go "File->Import OPJ Project" leads to an immediate crash of the program, with "Segmentation Fault" as the only error message.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run labplot
2. Import any origin project from the menu ("File->Import OPJ Project")

Actual Results:
It crashed

Expected Results:
It would open the file

This bug seems to be very common; even my friend using Ubuntu has this problem. I downloaded the source for the new version, 1.6.0, and compiled in my home directory, and it opened all files just fine. It has been out since 17th Dec., so I hope I'm not rushing when I ask it to be added to the portage tree. :) Here is my emerge --info:

Reopen with a backtrace; thanks.

Hi Chip,

Thanks for reporting. labplot-1.6.0.1 is now in the main tree. Could you try with this latest version once it hits the mirrors? labplot-1.5.1.6 could be worked to work with liborigin in the tree, but I'd rather concentrate on debugging this newer version.

Thanks,

Now the ebuild seems to be messed up: it thinks the size is different than it is:

!!! Digest verification failed:
!!! /usr/portage/distfiles/LabPlot-1.6.0.1.tar.gz
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size
!!! Got: 11903145
!!! Expected: 221544

I just fixed the bad Manifest file. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Comment 6 Chip Hogg 2008-02-10 18:28:21 UTC
That fixed it for me -- I can now open origin project files! Thanks very much for your hard work.

Unfortunately, now it crashes any time I try to export the data. I'll enter a new bug for that whenever I feel I have time to get a backtrace from it.
