Description eric sammer 2003-05-07 01:40:37 UTC
New ebuild for the perl module XML::Dumper. This module dumps perl data
structures to XML files and reads them back again. It was released to CPAN on 12
Jan 2003. This ebuild was tested on gentoo unstable x86 (~x86) and appears to
work fine. The only dep is >=dev-perl/XML-Parser-2.16 which is already in portage.

Reproducible: Always

XML-Dumper-0.62.ebuild

XML-Dumper-0.62.ebuild - depends on >=dev-perl/XML-Parser-2.16 which is already
in portage.

Does this satsify any dependancies? Perl modules are not added to portage unless
they fulfill a dependancy elsewhere. Otherwise, you will need to install the module yourself or wait until there is a working method in place for portage to handle CPAN modules directly.

I don't honestly remember if it's a dependency of anything, but I don't believe so. It was a dependency of an application I was working on at the time for a client, but I suppose that doesn't count... ;)

I submitted the ebuild only because it wasn't in portage and I found it helpful. I wasn't sure if there was a policy on perl modules due to the potential size of the category. The submission was more in the interest of completeness and simplicity for those new to gentoo and / or perl. Sorry for contributing to bug clutter...

afraid i'm going to have to close this out since it isn't a dep anywhere (even tangentially)
