Hi there,

I'm not sure if this actually is a Gentoo issue, but I hope you may help anway:

I would need threadsafe (reentrant) variants of all the syslog(3) related libc functions. On some Debian related distris they are there, but on Gentoo they are not. Would that be possible to include them?

Thanks a lot and my best wishes...

Stephan

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. man syslog_r
Actual Results:
no man pages

Expected Results:
syslog_r available

If this is not actually Gentoo's issue, can you tell me who would be responsible? The glibc guys?

i dont see the symbols in Debian, so you'd have to describe where those are coming from

glibc would be the place to request such things but i honestly think the answer is going to be "no"
