Could we have a new mailing list for purposes of sending out editions of the Gentoo Monthly Newletter? <gentoo-gmn@gentoo.org>. This list will supersede <gentoo-gwn@gentoo.org>. We also need a mail alias: <gmn@gentoo.org> so people can send in articles, feedback etc. This alias will supersede <gwn-feedback@gentoo.org>. Thanks.
Why do we need a totally new list, how about if I just make the old list respond to both 'gwn' and 'gmn'?

Or just call it "Gentoo World News", release one approx. every month and not be tight up again with a regular deadline. Also gives you the opportunity to release a special edition when the need arises. .02€

Referring to the acronym 'GWN' would then become ambiguous. That being said, I think naming the newsletter 'GMN' doesn't constrain us in any way; we can still release special editions whenever required. As for getting tied up, I think it is important for us to release a newsletter without fail, every month. I realize that it is an ideal goal, and may not always be possible, but we need to have a little rigidity in the system ;-) To sum-up, can we have <gmn@gentoo.org> and the ML redirection ASAP? I hope to get the first issue out by 21st Jan, and a stats-only GWN (the last) shortly before that. Thanks.
ok, the aliases gmn-writers and gmn-feedback point to their gwn counterparts. gwn-tips, gwn-feedback-es, gwn-nl, gwn-lang were not touched. For the lists, gentoo-gmn now points to gentoo-gwn, and the list headers+prefix string have been updated (list-id/x-beenthere contains both forms for people to match against). I did not touch the following lists: gentoo-gwn{-de,-es,-fr,-nl,-pl,admin,admin-de,admin-es}
