if build log is needed please tell and I'll attach it in reply.
Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-12 08:25:45 UTC
Yeah, attach the complete emerge.log *with locales set to C* ; also emerge -pv ntop output please.

ntop-3.2-r3 build.log

In attachement there is build.log with this error

output of emerge -atv I've posted above but for clear view I'll do it here once more:

[ebuild  N    ] net-analyzer/ntop-3.2-r3  USE="ipv6 nls snmp ssl tcpd zlib" 0 kB
Comment 3 Pawel Madej aka Nysander 2008-01-12 08:47:03 UTC
reopening as attached additional info
Comment 4 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-12 08:48:38 UTC
*with locales set to C* please...
Comment 5 Pawel Madej aka Nysander 2008-01-12 10:56:59 UTC
weird ... when I run emerge with below command:

LC_ALL=C emerge ntop

it emerged clearly without any error. So I cannot attach failed build.log with locales C
Comment 6 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-04 23:46:09 UTC
I've became the maintainer of ntop. Reassigned its bugs to me.
Comment 7 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-04 23:47:54 UTC
I've fixed in ntop-3.3.6, although I couldn't reproduce the problem with LC_ALL=ro_RO.
