It'll just need a eautoreconf run to use autotools and make properly. unsermake is a dead and abandoned project. Well, as QtParted itself is too.

Reassigning due to retirement

Reopenning to last-rite.
Comment 5 Jorge Manuel B. S. Vicetto (RETIRED) Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2009-09-05 14:00:19 UTC
As qtparted doesn't build (adding an eautoreconf call allows it to to go forward and then fail about mixed qt3/qt4 headers) and upstream seems to be dead, let's drop this from the tree.

From a users POV:
is there a suitable replacement for qtparted?

I've used it whenever I needed to repartition or resize partitions on internal and external hard drives...

I've last emerged qtparted-0.4.5 in September 2007, but it's still running.

Cheers,
Andreas.

This works perfectly for me on a my ~x86 system, what are the missing deps?

There is gparted which is a bit more current, but then you have to have all of the horrible gnome dependencies pulled in.

I have seen this message in the page (http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/index.en.html):

QtParted is back among the living! After seeing the message about QtParted's death, the Ark Linux team have decided to continue maintaining it.

Did you look at http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/changes.en.html or http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtparted/files/ ?

Unfortunately it seems as dead as it has been for a long while.

There has been some activity in the code if you look at the actual sourceforge develop page: http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtparted/develop
