Please find attached cnet-2.0.5.ebuild

CNET is a networking simulator which enables experimentation with protocol
implementation as well as more standard traffic simulation. CNET is in use in
many Computer Science departments in universities around the world. For more
information have a look at http://www.csse.uwa.edu.au/cnet which is the
application homepage.

I would suggest a category such as net-misc/ for CNET; that seems to fit it best.

The default src_compile worked for me.

If the changes are more than just one line, we prefer you make a patch file to do all changes.  I will see if I can get around to generating the patchfile and changing the src_unpack() function accordingly.

I created the patch and it works fine.

net-analyzer/cnet-2.0.5 is now in portage.
