Why was sys-libs/openipmi added as a dependency of ipmitool? ipmitool runs fine with the built-in ipmi support in a stock kernel. The dependency adds unnecessary (and in my case unwanted) cruft. I upgraded from 1.8.8 to 1.8.9 with --nodeps and it works fine.
