On a complete ~x86 system, the net-im/climm uses API of stable net-libs/gloox (while obviously the unstable version of the library is installed on such a system).  Perhaps a dependency on the stable gloox would work this out.  Or even better, a patch to the new API :)

added a dep to gloox <0.9

this should indeed be fixed upstream, feel like reporting it? :)
