We're managing network infrastructure at our Institute of Theoretical Physics University of Wroclaw, Poland, where 90% of linux boxes are Gentoo, so we've set up our own local rsync mirror to make syncs faster and using less bandwidth. Therefor we apply for becoming community rsync server for gentoo. Server description: 2 x Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 2218, 7991 MB RAM, SATA Seagate 7200 rpm. Reproducible: Always
And the URI of course: rsync://zero.ift.uni.wroc.pl
Provide bandwith specs, please. And you don't need to be cc'ed on the bug if you're the reporter
100 Mbps.
IP: zero.ift.uni.wroc.pl Checked at (UTC) Timestamp ================================================ 18:51:26 Sat, 01 Mar 2008 18:16:01 +0000 Looks good, adding you in. Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added the IP 156.17.88.57 to our access database, please start syncing to rsync1.us.gentoo.org per our Rsync document at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/rsync.xml. We would like you to subscribe to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List by sending an email to gentoo-mirrors+subscribe@lists.gentoo.org, as we send our notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth! Please also monitor http://mirrorstats.gentoo.org/rsync as this application is used to keep track of the up-to-date nature of our mirrors For Infrastructure, Shyam Mani You are mirror rsync1.pl.gentoo.org in the rsync.pl.gentoo.org rotation.
As per recent announcement on mirror-ml, I report that this server has an IPv6 address 2001:808:111:1::1 . We're fine with keeping to sync with master over IPv4 so no changes to ACL are required.
Added to IPv6 ACL.
