Hello, Since the NeverWinter Nights linux client beta is now available as part of Gentoo, being a member of the OpenKnights consortium (a group of open source developpers determined to bring tools to MacOS X and Linux for NWN), I believe it would be nice for libnw, one of the OpenKnights-affiliated projects, to be available in Portage. libnw is a 3rd-party library used to interact with NWN files, and also includes simple command-line tools to play around with basic files (extract resources, make hak paks, etc.). It is the basis for future tools (such as Neveredit, currently only a 'viewer', but later with edit functionality), as well as a nice component to have since the Aurora Toolset (BioWare's NWN editor) is not available to Linux and MacOS X platforms. I do not know in which category of the tree it should go. Being a tool to edit files for use in a game. I will leave that to the liberty of who ever gets this assigned to. Attached is the ebuild file and the 'openknights' license file in libnw.tar.bz2. -Eyrdan BioMod for the NWN Linux forum Member of the OpenKnights Consortium

sorry for the two attachments... the was an error the first time and I didn't notice it was sent successfully
A new version of libnw has just been released... now we're at 1.29.06 (the ebuild above still works, just rename it to libnw-1.29.06.ebuild instead). A note about libnw versioning, the major and minor versions always match the version of NWN at the time of the build (1.29 right now) and the last token is the build on that version.
added to portage with a few tweaks (1.30.xx that is) thanks for the ebuild ... i like it when upstream authors contribute ebuilds ... makes me confident that it's installed the way they want ;)
