I had a portage tree corrupted last night by rsync3.ca.gentoo.org (134.53.48.2) while running emerge --sync in a cron job.  This ended up removing the entire subdirectory for /usr/portage/profiles which I had to download and manually install to correct the problem.

Can someone please check this server and make any corrections needed?

This mirror hosed 2 of my systems already.

Is it compromised as well? It claims there's a new version of portage - did I infect my system by installing it?

Should the severity level be changed on this bug?

Actually looks like sys-apps/portage is missing so I couldn't have installed it. It also borks because the make.profile link points to nowhere.

Re-running "emerge --sync" against a different mirror resolved the problem.
