Description Steve Flack 2002-04-23 14:15:13 UTC
Ever since I upgraded to the new version of QT3 I have been unable to start
konqueror from the home directory icon in KDE. Clicking the 'web browser' icon next
to it works and can then go to the home directory by clicking the icon in konqueror.
It just segfaults every time trying the 'home directory' icon from the panel.

I've found that if I run the command

kfmclient openProfile filemanagement

in a terminal the reason for the segfaults is given as 'Mutex destroy failure: Device
or Resource Busy'

I'm just trying to re-emerge qt/ kdelibs and kdebase to see if that does anything

Re-emergeing didn't work...but deleteing the ~/.kde and ~/.kde3 directories did...but that is a bit drastic!

Well, there's not much I can do about it. You might have deleted your .kde3
file by file (the relevant ones anyway) and seen just what caused the problem.
Anyway, it's gone so that's that.
