See redhat bugzilla entry in url. netscape-flash-9.0.115.0 when wrapped in nspluginwrapper dies on many flash sites due to threading issues (possibly smp-only?). The bug always occurs if there is only one firefox session active, and sometimes occurs even if multiple firefoxes are started at the same time. For a simple example, just go to http://www.speedtest.net Part-way through the test, the flash will turn into a white square and stop responding.
Created attachment 139661 [details, diff] nspluginwrapper-0.9.91.5-g_thread_init.patch Patch. This is a modified version of redhat's patch from their nspluginwrapper-0.9.91.5-15.fc8 rpm (modified a bit since redhat applies 100K of patches to their nspluginwrapper for unknown reasons; we only need to change 2 lines to get the new flash working properly)
Created attachment 139662 [details] nspluginwrapper-0.9.91.5.ebuild Ebuild for above patch. Fixes bug for me, flash no longer dies.
