Description Anthony Tibbs 2007-12-29 19:59:22 UTC
The net-mail/mailman ebuild requires either Apache or Lighttpd in order to even install the mailman application, but these are not the only workable server options available. I am running mailman + nginx + thttpd successfully, and while this configuration may not be contemplated by the ebuild, I see no reason why mailman itself could not be installed *without* any pre-defined web server configuration if the user opts to do so. (i.e. automatic configuration of Apache or others is 'nice,' but there should be some way to install mailman without this, without having to rewrite custom ebuilds, etc.)

Reproducible: Always
