When emerging lsh, I get 'ERROR: Unbounded variable: read-line' and the install fails in src_install

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
emerge lsh
fails in src_compile

Actual Results:  
lsh installation fails in src_compile

Expected Results:  
proper installation of lsh
