Description Alexander Winston 2003-05-02 14:44:49 UTC
I feel that it would be an excellent addition to the stages and it would
certainly ease those hefty installs by speeding up downloads.

Just from browsing the bugs mind you: (do a search for mirrorselect)
There are/were problems with livecd environment and mirrorselect -i
something to do with the way dialog and ncurses handle pipes if I read it right.
This is being worked on. May be added later?

stage suggestion, would do no good on livecd itself
Comment 3 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-09 10:44:19 UTC
Yes, we definitely need to have this in the 1.4 stages. John is now maintaining it and should have it in a very usable state soon.

Sounds great =)

By the way, did I add this to the right section? I'm pretty new to the whole Bugzilla process and I thought the LiveCD area was the appropriate section.. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks,
    Alexander
