After trying to install Gentoo with both the dialog-based install and GTK install, the install never seems to finish. When I check the log file, it's a different error every time. This time it was apparently something with the gensplash config. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot up the LiveCD. 2. Use the GTK installer. 3. Use defaults for most options, with extra CFLAGs. 4. Input the timezone. Actual Results: After putting in the timezone, it begins to emerge the kernel (if I remember correctly). After emerging the first item, it begins to emerge the second item and then it starts to shutdown the installer, as it has failed. Expected Results: Emerge the item. The installer doesn't compile kernels anymore, so this is moot.
So wouldn't that make it FIXED once a new release is out? ;]
That implies I did something to actually fix the problem :P
