Description Jan Wuyts 2003-05-02 09:59:15 UTC
Would it be possible to re-include net-mail/evolution-1.0.8-r2 in portage
please? This is so far the only ppc-stable version. The others that are included
are all masked and have masked dependencies.
Thanks,

Jan.

ppc devs, could someone test/mark the latest 1.2.3/1.2.4 to stable? <evo-1.2.3 have a security vunerability which means it should not be re-added to the tree.

thanks

I tried it last week and today again, but everytime with the same failure in gnome-spell:

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -I../src -I/usr/include -I/usr/include/gnome-1.0 -DNEED_GNOMESUPPORT_H -I/usr/lib/gnome-libs/include -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/include/orbit-1.0 -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/gnome-1.0 -DNEED_GNOMESUPPORT_H -I/usr/lib/gnome-libs/include -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/gdk-pixbuf-1.0 -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/gnome-xml -I/usr/include -I/usr/include/orbit-1.0 -I/usr/include/libglade-1.0 -I/usr/include/gal-1.0 -DGNOMELOCALEDIR=\"/usr/share/locale\" -DGLADE_DATADIR=\"/usr/share/gnome-spell\" -O2 -pipe -I/usr/include/gconf/1 -I/usr/include/glib-1.2 -I/usr/lib/glib/include -I/usr/include/orbit-1.0 -I/usr/include/gtk-1.2 -I/usr/X11R6/include -c main.c

The missing file capplet-widget.h is delivered with control-center, but a version under 2, which isn't installed here. So there is a missing dependency...

If it really compiles then, I'll tell you later ;-)
Comment 3 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-14 21:21:26 UTC
Now, gnome-spell emerged correctly and my machine is compiling the rest of evolution.
Comment 4 Bartosch Pixa (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-14 21:23:20 UTC
the header is installed with:
 # qpkg -I -v -f /usr/include/libcapplet1/capplet-widget.h
gnome-base/control-center-1.4.0.5-r1

pylon: evolution 1.2.x is a gtk1/gnome1 app so it this dependancy is perfectly
valid.
Comment 5 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-15 11:58:05 UTC
emerged evolution without any further problems. No crashes of the application yet. So I will mark it (and it's dependencies) stable later the day.
Comment 6 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-15 21:08:43 UTC
So, evolution 1.2.4 is now stable on ppc.

Closing this bug.
