Hi, We have just set up a new Gentoo mirror in Taiwan at the School of Computer Science of National Chiao Tung University(NCTU). We are syncing the portage tree every 30minutes, and the distfile every 4 hours We mirror is available via HTTP, FTP and RSYNC: The mirror is available under: HTTP: http://gentoo.cs.nctu.edu.tw/gentoo FTP: ftp://gentoo.cs.nctu.edu.tw/gentoo rsync: rsync://gentoo.cs.nctu.edu.tw 100Mbit Internet connection. gigabit connection to campus backbone Please feel free to express any comments Regards, Reproducible: Always
Looking good here, thanks very much for setting up a public mirror! It's appreciated. Our usual procedure is to check the mirror a few times over the course of a couple of weeks just to confirm it keeps synced properly; assuming all that goes OKay we'll hook you up with access to masterdistfiles.gentoo.org :) Mirrors get added to mirrors.xml after that point! If you could bear with us, that'd be appreciated. Things are unusually slow due to the festive season - lots of people absent to be with their families, etc. Estimated time of completion: 12th - 13th January 2008 Feel free to let me know via this bug or e-mail if you have any questions :-)

Ran a check, looks good : * Timestamp on gentoo.cs.nctu.edu.tw is Sat, 01 Mar 2008 15:08:06 +0000 * Current time in UTC is Sat Mar 1 17:30:43 UTC 2008 I'll add you guys in. Thanks for helping out Gentoo. I have added your mirror to our list at http://www.gentoo.org/main/en/mirrors.xml. Please start syncing from masterdistfiles.gentoo.org as the email I have sent to you instructs. We would like you to subscribe to the gentoo-mirrors Mailing List by sending an email to gentoo-mirrors-subscribe@lists.gentoo.org, as we send out notifications of updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors. Please also monitor http://mirrorstats.gentoo.org as this application is used to keep track of the up-to-date nature of our mirrors. Once again, thanks for the hardware and bandwidth!
