Please, remove the sh.cvut.cz mirror from the official list of portage mirrors. It is useless again and again and blocks the 'rsync' process (executed via `emerge --sync`). Any of the previous requests did not solve the issue yet: #168562, #177459, #162773, ... Currently, #168562 issue can be observed again. I guess they are not ready to provide a full service for the key base - portage. Please, solve this permanent issue. Thank you very much.
Please provide more information. What error message do you get, or what symptoms are you experiencing? What do you have listed in your GENTOO_MIRRORS="" and SYNC="" variables of /etc/make.conf? As commented in #168562, its slow but it seems to work - I've just confirmed this by syncing a couple of my boxes off it. I'll get in touch with them after the festive season finishes and try to find out if they're just busy; the symptoms listed in the other tickets *sound* like their array just isn't capable of serving up enough IOPS.
Well, I am again waiting 10 minutes for a listing. Such a mirror is useless, I guess.
Jakub, can you check? Thanks
Leo, Apologies for the delay. If you notice, I removed this mirror a long time back in Bug #162773 but that was their source mirror. Somehow the rsync got left behind. Jakub, since you didn't respond to the source mirror bug mentioned above and since people have been reporting issues with the rsync mirror as well, I've removed you from the rsync.cz rotation and your access to rsync1.us. Thanks for helping.
