Description Jose Marino 2007-12-22 20:40:55 UTC
I installed nautilus-open-terminal-0.8.
I get a new entry 'Open Terminal' in the desktop right-click menu, as expected.
However, when selecting this entry a new terminal doesn't open.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Desktop right-click menu entry 'Open Terminal' doesn't open a new terminal.

Expected Results:
Desktop right-click menu entry 'Open Terminal' should open a new terminal.

Every time I try opening a terminal I get this error in ~/.xsession-errors

(nautilus:6002): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_spawn_async: assertion `argv != NULL' failed

I tried re-emerging nautilus, glib and gnome-terminal.
Also tried emerging nautilus-open-terminal-0.7 and I get the same results.

Here's my emerge --info:

Under System -> Preferences -> Preferred Applications, on the system tab, what do you have your terminal set to?
Comment 2 Jose Marino 2008-01-04 14:23:41 UTC
Yes, that was it.

I had terminal set to custom with command empty. Weird.
I set it to gnome-terminal and now it works fine.

Thanks a lot.
