emergeing phpMyAdmin 2.4 fails because digests do not match.
I tried the phpmydmin-2.4-php.tar.gz files from:
gd.tuwien.ac.at (gentoo mirror)
ibiblio.org (gentoo mirror)
mail phpmyadmin site (phpmydmin.net)

doing an "ebuild $PORTAGE_DIR/dev-db/phpmyadmin-2.4.ebuild digest" fixes this.

please check. i did not take any measure to confirm the autenticity of the tarballs, so third-party 
tampering is possible.

Fixed. The problem is that to avoid resyncing 17gigs all the time, rsync out to ibiblio uses --size-only....
