Description Linuxboy 2007-12-21 11:16:14 UTC
when I emerge eog, the portage will upgrade gnome-python to 2.20.1 which emerge failed.
The error message is:
checking for a Python interpreter with version >= 2.2... python
checking for python... /usr/bin/python
checking for python version... 2.4
checking for python platform... linux2
checking for python script directory... ${prefix}/lib/python2.4/site-packages
checking for python extension module directory... ${exec_prefix}/lib/python2.4/site-packages
checking for headers required to compile python extensions... not found
configure: error: could not find Python headers or library

Please see attachment "config.log" to see the detail.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge eog, and the portage upgrades the gnome-python to 2.20.1 automatically, econf die at checking python headers or library (not found);
2.emerge gnome-python directly, the result is the same as above.

Actual Results:
emerge gnome-python-2.20.1 failed at checking python headers or library.

Expected Results:
emerge gnome-python-2.20.1 success.

Because of emerging gnome-python failure, gnome destop could not startup, I can't see anything on gnome desktop when I login the linux, And also I can't run the FileBrowser(natilus).
