Description Kyle Lemons 2007-12-21 05:26:09 UTC
Trying to emerge gtkpod-0.99.12 fails to configure with the following message:
checking for library containing MP4GetMetadataGrouping... no
configure: error: MP4/AAC support explicitly requested but libmp4v2 couldn't be found

The configuration log is attached

*  media-libs/libmp4v2
      Latest version available: 1.5.0.1
      Latest version installed: 1.5.0.1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check version of libmp4v2 is 1.5.0.1
2. Emerge gtkpod (0.99.12)
3. Examine configuration errors.

Actual Results:
 * ERROR: app-pda/gtkpod-0.99.12 failed.
 * Call stack:
 *               ebuild.sh, line   46:  Called src_compile
 *             environment, line 2069:  Called econf 'src_compile' 'src_compile' '--without-hal' '--with-mp4v2' '--with-ogg'
 *               ebuild.sh, line  507:  Called die

Expected Results:
* Emerge completed successfully.

I can't reproduce the problem here (on my amd64 box), can you attach the config.log ?
Comment 3 Kyle Lemons 2007-12-21 17:58:09 UTC
I don't really know what the issue was, but I couldn't emerge the older version either, so I ran a revdep-rebuild and rebuilt all of the packages that it came up with, and then it built fine. Sorry for the confusion.
