http://www.rhapsody.com/install?playerVersion=rhapsodyeventsplayer&upgrade=false and http://www.go-mono.com/moonlight/ can't be installed and both have in common the installation via javascript... and i was told by a mono "build guy" that it was the cause of the failled installation... firefox tells the plugin is not compatible with firefox 2.0.0.11 but on ubuntu with firefox 2.0.0.11 it works... Reproducible: Always
Have you tried running firefox as root and installing them?
even running it at root doesn't change anything...
how can i change the bug to mask the url of moonlight because it hasn't been public? i should rather reference to this installation method: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/XPInstall_API_Reference
Is this still an issue with firefox 3.0? Also, www-plugins/moonlight is in-tree.
Please reopen if this bug is still an issue.
