I just started instalation (standard), choose some options and long emerge from CD begun.
Later it failed because it cannot download xterm-222.tgz

This is probabelly related to bug #184617
I understand, that new version of xterm is required, but the Installer should be upgraded acordingly. (It is terrible, when install fails for such reason)

I will try another type of instalation, which uses --sync, but it is not the way for everyone ...

Don't use the livecd snapshot with a non-networkless isntall unless you have a good reason.
