Description moonlite 2003-04-29 19:33:39 UTC
new version of idesk out... new ebuild...

the tar-file of the program doesnt contain a subdir called idesk or
idesk-version but rather pops out the files in the directrory where you are
standing...
that should explain why i set S="${WORKDIR}"

the dependencies are set according to my versions of the libs you probably only
need gtk+-2.0.x, but as i havent tested any version but the one i've got
installed ... the same goes for the rest of the deps...

enjoy!

idesk doesn't seem to have a real maintainer for gentoo, i certainly am not.

But idesk 0.5.x seems beta series and it wouldn't be wise to support that right now. Please refile a new version when the 0.5 series has reached official maturity.

would masking be a possibility?
Comment 4 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-05-06 08:18:33 UTC
if we had an active maintainer who would want to do that, but currently no. In time when the maintainership is somewhat better set up internally it might be possible. Altough p.mask is more like a place for ebuild known not to work, not really for beta stuff (we just can't support that at this time).
