I just "upgraded" from ac-sources-2.4.21-rc1-r1 (which shows up as 2.4.21-rc1-ac1) to ac-sources-2.4.21-rc1-r2 (which sows up as 2.4.21-rc1-ac2) I am running on a dell x200 laptop which has a firewire cd drive. To get the drive running you need to load some firewire modules and some scsi modules. Under rc1-ac1 everything worked just fine. I then used the exact same .config file (well not exactly the same, I started up xmenuconfig made no changes and then saved it) and now under rc1-ac2, I have nothing listed under /dev/scsi and nothing listed under /dev/cdroms When I run dmesg, it looks like everything is being loaded, Other info: I am running devfsd-1.3.25-r3 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
ac-sources is not patched nor maintained by gentoo. reports bugs to the linux kernel mailing list.
