Description george 2007-12-06 22:10:44 UTC
From: /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/use.mask

# ppc and x86/amd64
x264

As part of the 2007.0 profile, the x264 package is masked out on all platforms except ppc, x86, and amd64. Yet if you look at the x264 ebuild, it's stable on the Alpha platform! I'm using it on Alpha and it compiles and works just fine. I simply commented out the offending line in /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/use.mask

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE="x264" emerge ffmpeg
2.
3.

Actual Results:
ffmpeg reports (-x264)

Expected Results:
Accepted the x264 use flag.
