Comment 1 Mart Raudsepp gentoo-dev 2007-12-06 09:46:45 UTC
I think 2.18.3 should be fixed now, but I'm leaving this bug open, because 2.18.2 has a similar mess with intltoolize, but I need to think a bit about that one, as the tarball doesn't have new enough intltoolize usage for LINGUAS to be honored.
Basically I think that we need to either add eautoreconf before intltoolize in 2.18.2 case, or sacrifice LINGUAS honoring and remove the intltoolize call there too
Comment 2 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-06 10:11:20 UTC
strange it passed tests and all for me.
/me votes for eautoreconf.
Comment 3 David Schulman 2007-12-06 20:22:55 UTC
well I hate to say this but even after an emerge-webrsync, emerge portage the gnome-terminal still fails to compile with the same errors. I donot think it is fixed.

Comment 4 David Schulman 2007-12-06 20:26:26 UTC
Still getting the errors. already reinstalled intltool. did emerge-websync and emerge portage. Still getting them. any ideas?

I had this problem, but just did a "eix-sync" and ran "emerge -Du world" and gnome-terminal-2.18.3 now compiles.

eix uses "emerge --sync" which is not an option for most. so will not fix it for most people. Is this a problem with the portage or what ?
Comment 7 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-12-06 23:23:00 UTC
websync is a commodity and can be days behind the tree. Just wait a few more days if you really can't work with emerge --sync.
Comment 8 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-10 22:43:36 UTC
ping guys, could you give a try to 2.18.4 ?
Comment 9 Colin Macdonald 2008-01-11 00:23:15 UTC
Builds for me without error.
Comment 10 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-11 23:23:50 UTC
aballier told me on irc 2.18.4 fixes it for him as well, closing
