Description Dmitry Savchenko 2007-12-04 02:24:36 UTC
Just got my ASUS L1N64-SLI WS NF680a 1207 MB and 2 AMD Athlon FX-74 CPUs.
While trying to enable Cool'n'Quiet, dmesg error with:

powernow-k8: Processor cpuid c0f13 not supported
powernow-k8: Processor cpuid c0f13 not supported
powernow-k8: Processor cpuid c0f13 not supported
powernow-k8: Processor cpuid c0f13 not supported

Tried w/ powernow-k8 build as a module as well as build into kernel... same result.

Reproducible: Always

Dmitry,

It appears that the powernow-k8 code will need an update to support your cpu.

Could you please file a bug upstream at http://bugzilla.kernel.org and post the url here?

Here's a similar bug report for reference: http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8423

Excellent, we'll keep an eye on this one to see when it makes the mainline kernel git tree.
