Description Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2007-12-02 00:04:11 UTC
After letting hal mount DVD I get this:
$ ls -l /media/
total 12
drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 4096 nov 9 11:20 _
drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 568 nov 3 22:10 disk
drwxr-xr-x 22 root root 536 nov 29 15:32 disk-1
drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 640 oct 28 19:41 disk-2
dr-xr-xr-x 4 pacho 4294967295 136 feb 7 2036 DVDVolume
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 88 jun 25 2006 sda1

As can be seen, group for DVD is "4294967295"

I attach "lshal" output

Maybe a gnome-volume-manager bug (or gnome related), under KDE, DVD is mounted with pacho:root owners (user:group)

Sorry, it also affects with KDE. After trying again with an encrypted DVD, the problem reappears (seems that with not encrypted DVDs it works ok...)

Can't reproduce this at all. What do you mean encrypted DVD?

A DVD bought ;-) (in DVD9 format and fully legal)

I can reproduce this in all my computers, but, if this depend on each DVD... :-/
Comment 6 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2007-12-03 18:58:05 UTC
I mean, a DVD that needs libdvdcss to be played
Comment 7 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2009-01-28 21:04:28 UTC
I will close this for now as seems to have gone, maybe it occurs only with some kind of DVDs, anyway seem to not affect to its usage
