Description Christian Kotz 2007-11-30 10:39:41 UTC
After issuing a script on matlab that should create a Graphic via Open GL (works with ati-drivers-8.40.4) X windows terminates.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open Matlab
2.type command to display surface (see attachment) 'surf'

Actual Results:
X windows terminates

Expected Results:
window with OpenGl Visualization should appear

Configuration:
xorg-x11 7.2
gentoo sources 2.6.22r9
amd turion x2 Tl52

Besides in general the driver is _very instable_, much more than 8.40.4, switching from and to textmode results in blank screen very ofen, which very rarely happens on 8.40.4. There also seems to be a bug in the ebuild, because the driver registered itself as x11-drivers/ati-drivers.8.433 instead of x11-drivers/ati-drivers.8.42.3.

Please flag as -amd64!
