Using the evolution-exchange plugin, the mailfilter does not work when new mail arrives. When you select a message and apply filters manually, it does work however. Seems to be hitting this bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444503. Filter on new messages is checked in Account preferences. Worked fine in <= 2.10. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup evolution exchange account 2. Setup a mail filter 3. Send message to yourself that the filter should pickup 4. Watch your inbox closely. Actual Results: 1. Message arrives in inbox 2. Filter is not applied. Expected Results: 1. Message arrives in inbox 2. Filter is applied. Activating the filter manually works.
I can confirm that this patch: http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/evolution-exchange?view=revision&revision=1502 works for me. Created a new patched ebuild and the mailfilter executes properly when receiving new mail.
Could you please post the patched ebuild?
I found out today that the patch screws up other things, mail in several subfolders was not being shown anymore although still present on the exchange server. I reverted to evolution 2.10 for now.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-exchange/+bug/10669 The solution presented there (removing summary and summary-meta) works for me.
I can confirm that this works again with evolution-2.22.0 using evolution-exchange-2.22.0 (not yet in the tree).
gnome-2.22 is going stable soon (already there on amd64), anyway closing per comment #4. sorry we couldn't find time to fix 2.12.
