Right now it doesn't.

This leads to subtle errors, such as mediawiki-1.8.5 keyword ppc, postgresql-8.1.9 keyword ~ppc, this doesn't work, and only after installing mediawiki and trying to configure it does the error appear.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install mediawiki with stable keywords on a platform with up to mediawiki-1.8 and postgresql-8.0 stabled.
2. Try installing mediawiki
3. Try configuring it.




Does mediawiki also require php to have support for the respective databases?
