The output of unrar-3.7.8 tells it was "UNRAR 3.71 beta1".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge unrar-3.7.8
2.type "unrar"
3.

Actual Results:  
$ unrar 
 
 UNRAR 3.71 beta 1 freeware      Copyright (c) 1993-2007 Alexander Roshal 
 
 Usage:     unrar <command> -<switch 1> -<switch N> <archive> <files...> 
                <@listfiles...> <path_to_extract\>

Expected Results:  
unrar ver

AND:
As i could not find any information about the releasedate of unrar-3.7.8 on the unrar-homepage (http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm) i also changed the date to 22.9.2007, the day where the version-bump-request was posted on gentoo-bugzilla ;)
