As a bug-wrangler I always see the open bugs and new ebuilds nobody is working on - let's face it: we need more developers! To get some developers it's necessary to put some informations on the gentoo-website: Who can I contact, if I want to help? What is needed? (developer, bug-wrangler, web-site-maintainer, ...) and maybe a list of open jobs, e.g. somebody who cares about wine is needed at the moment. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
i thought our devlist just blew up recently ... like 150 devs or some junk ...
We're working on a new ebuild-maintainership-implementation which will hopefully solve this issue. This is the socalled Herd-implementation. When this implementation is active, we can check what we need furthermore and make the necessary documents/webpage. But untill this implementation is active, it seems not feasible to make a document where we describe what we need. So hold on, I know bug-wranglers have a heavy duty, a solution is on it's way :)
Well the GWN announcements already seem to cover this and they are already posted on the site. Once herds go full swing we should see even more action on this. But this particular bug seems redundant to the GWN we already have. Anybody can send stuff to gentoo-gwn@gentoo.org for inclusion.
I agree with antifa. The GWN provides all needed information. Marking as WONTFIX.
