Description 2chucky 2007-11-26 19:01:07 UTC
I emerged quanta-3.5.7. When I wanted to use the quickstart tag, I got an error message that kdmr-executor could not be executed - the reason was simple: it isn't installed.
Because kmdr-executor belongs to kde-base/kommander there should be a dependency in the quanta ebuild.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge quanta
2. Start Quanta, choose Tags/Standard/Quickstart
3. Read the error message.

It was decided not to do so, as people complain about the lot of optional runtime dependencies they do not use at all. The ebuild features a post install message hoefully listing all of them. And before I see your reply "But how about a use flag..." No, not for an optional runtime dependency.
