Elvanor has been doing an excellent job helping out the java team, including writting ebuilds, adding functionality to java-config, working on eclipse-sdk. It is past time that Elvanor joined the family. I will be his mentor. In process of last review of his ebuild quiz. So expect it today/tomorrow. Betegeuse, I know im meant to CC the project lead, but you'll get this anyway. Feel free the CC yourself if you please.
Better CC Elvanör and java@g.o. Sorry for bugspam Also updated nick, didn't realise that it spelt with the funny face :) That doesn't show up in irc.

We received you ebuild quiz. Once your end of mentoring quiz is validated by your mentor and sent to us, please contact me by email with your availability for the review. Denis.
FYI. EOM quiz has been sent to recruiters@g.o
(In reply to comment #4) > FYI. EOM quiz has been sent to recruiters@g.o Confirmed. I had a look at both quizzes and they're of rather good quality. There are still lots of opportunities for nitpicking, though... :o) Jean-Noël and I are already in contact for the review scheduling. Denis.
Also the Java quiz has not been approved by me yet so please contact me at some point to get that done.

Review and setup done. Announcement still pending. What you need to do: - subscribe to mailing lists with your @gentoo.org address - request forum status bump in #gentoo-forums or by mail to forum-mods@gentoo.org (if you have a forum account) - add yourself to mail aliases (like kernel@gentoo.org) see /var/mail/alias on dev.gentoo.org - ask team leads to add yourself to herds.xml for the herds you want to join or do it yourself if you have the permission to do so - set lat and lon attributes in LDAP if you want others to know where exactly you are located Denis.
Announcement done so you're all set. Have fun. Denis.

Okay. Elvanor is maintainng Eclipse which is released only once per year and he doesn't have time to maintain anything more than that in CVS. He also is active doing QA in overlays and promised to work with java team to get some additional misc tasks in the tree to increase his yearly commit count. Bug closed.
Just so that is clear: I am NOT currently doing work or QA in the overlays. ali_bush just asked if that would count.

Looks he has returned, anyway, if you don't have time to maintain all the packages, don't hesitate to let us know to look for new maintainers for them
Reopening for packages reassignment
I have seen you recently did this commits: *pjsip-2.1 (04 May 2013) 04 May 2013; <elvanor@gentoo.org> +pjsip-2.1.ebuild: Version bump to 2.1. 08 May 2013; <elvanor@gentoo.org> sflphone-1.2.2.ebuild: Fix for #468740. *sflphone-1.2.2 (04 May 2013) 04 May 2013; <elvanor@gentoo.org> -sflphone-1.0.1.ebuild, -sflphone-1.0.1-r1.ebuild, +sflphone-1.2.2.ebuild: Version bump to 1.2.2. Removed old versions. 04 May 2013; <elvanor@gentoo.org> -hippo-canvas-0.3.0.ebuild, hippo-canvas-0.3.0-r1.ebuild: Bug #448962. But I still see this unattended bugs: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351927 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364249 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381073 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406425 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406503 https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468822 I will then continue with reassigning plan for packages (except that packages you look to take care) in 1 week if I get no reply at all about if you are really willing (and able due time constraints) to maintain all that packages
