i'm new with gentoo, i'm still trying to install it, but when i try to "emerge sysklogd" it looks for sysklogd-1.4.1.tar.gz in 2 diferent servers with no success it looks for it at... http://gentoo.arcticnetwork.ca/distfiles/sysklogd-1.4.1.tar.gz and when it fails looks at http://metalab.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/daemons/sysklogd-1.4.1.tar.gz is metalab.unc.edu the same that ibiblo.org? if so, then there doesn't exist the needed version, there is http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/system/daemons/sysklogd-1.5.tar.gz and in the case of the first server (http://gentoo.arcticnetwork.ca) the problem is that it is looking for the files at http://gentoo.arcticnetwork.ca/distfiles/ when it should looks at http://gentoo.arcticnetwork.ca/source/distfiles/ Related with BUG "emerge syslog-ng can't download libol-0.3.18.tar.gz is looking in the rigth server on the wrong folder" let me know when it is fixed, so i can finish my first gentoo installation Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. follow Gentoo Linux x86 Handbook (2007.0) 2. at section 9.a. AS noted on the other bug, you have GENTOO_MIRRORS set incorrectly in make.conf.
