powersave doesn't really use the HAL bindings yet, so it's still APM/ACPI dependent afaik. Do all of the features actually work?
yes, i think they do. the following works on my powerbook g4: - detection of battery/OnAC - current cpu frequency - current cpufreq governor - battery status and energy consume if running on batteries
Has a problem with kpowersave-0,7.3 - when i tru to suspend-2-ram i get message box "Could not umount external media before suspend/standby. (Reason: could not call DCOP interface to umount external media.)". I try kpowersave with powersaved and without it - same results. kpowersave-0.6.2 works fine, but now it hardmasked. I have installed hal-0.5.10 with USE="acpi crypt kernel_linux -apm -debug -dell -disk-partition -doc -kernel_FreeBSD -laptop -selinux" Whats wrong?
Andrey, I'd suspect that there's something else going on with suspend to ram, does it work outside of KDE? As it is, I'll mark kpowersave ~ppc for now, but it should be reviewed again before going stable. Thanks for testing!
