i downloaded installcd-ps3-minimal-110407.iso from 3 different mirrors today, burned and i can't acces em after that, tried under windows/daemon-tools to mount iso image after that, getting same thing, corupted. (md5 sum is ok, checked) Reproducible: Always
Can you elaborate? In what way is it corrupted. Is this before or after you mount as loop?
i can burn iso (k3b, nero4linux, nero on windows..) but after it's done i can't access cdrom same like with mounting iso. i wanted to make sure the iso is ok (and my burner doesn't work), and tried mounting it using daemon-tools in wondows (4.06), getting same message. and as i said md5 is ok tested it. (ps3 doesn't even check if cd is in, and i need otheros.blt or whatever it's name is to be able to install bootloader on it, and it should be in PS3/otheros/ on gentoo install CD).
I just pulled the iso from my local mirror and was able to use/access it by either burning it with cdrecord or mount -o loop <isoname> /mnt/cdrom. I also checked the md5sum and it appeared fine. Last I remember the PS3 could not use RW media. Are you using RW media?
nope was just common verbatim cd, but i'll try to download it again, thanks for helping, atleast i know something is wrong on my end.
Just downloaded the above iso to test this bug. I had no problems with the CD i burned it using k3b (not cd/dvd - rw the ps3 doesn't like those) downloaded from http://gentoo.osuosl.org/experimental/ppc64/livecd/installcd-ps3-minimal-110407.iso I flashed the otheros.bld in from linux and booted up the livecd before flashing back to my current kernel. No problems at all on my end I also tested mounting the cd on my laptop no problems there either. I also mounted it using -o loop (requires loopback in your kernel): mount -o loop installcd-ps3-minimal-110407.iso /mnt/cdrom no problems there either. As far as i can se it works as intended.
